SPRING TUNE-UP
Make this your best season yet!
Brush off those winter cobwebs and start the season more confident, faster and better with ZEP.
The stronger the skill fundamentals, the better the foundation to build from. Invest in yourself this spring and train with ZEP to develop your skills, confidence, speed and feel on the bike. We'll work on fundamental skills such as body position, range of movement, balance, bike-body seperation and connection, while also developing your core maneuvers such as wheel lifts, nose pivots, bunnyhops, jumps, drops and more. This comprehensive spring skills tune up will be the best upgrade to your riding, ever!
In conjunction with the skills development, this program includes comprehensive bike fit and suspension set up coaching, plus an optional strength and conditioning program add-on.
- Local riders from beginner to advanced.
- Groups will be chosen based on previous riding experience, skill set and goals.
- Riders looking to improve their core skills to build progression and confidence in all areas of their riding.
- 2hr sessions
- 1 per week for 4 weeks
- 1x 2hr bike fit and suspension set up and skills assessment session.
- 3x 2hr skills development coaching sessions.
- Sessions take place in the Whistler Valley Trails, using a wide variety of terrain from singletrack, pump tracks, open areas and skills areas to develop a fun, safe skills progression.
- All sessions run from 6 - 8pm
- Each session begins with a bike check and set up info session, and warm up on the pump track.
- We’ll use the pump tracks and table top jumps to gradually build the technical skills required for jumping.
- Learning to pump with precision, at speed, is a critical component to learning to jump and will be used throughout this program.
- Video analysis along with a variety of terrain choice at each location will allow the coach to tailor the skills coaching and feedback for every rider.
- What bike do I need?
We recommend your regular ‘pedalling’ bike (Trail or Enduro bike) or a Dirt Jumper (not essential). Choose which bike you feel most comfortable riding. Downhill bikes are not appropriate. - Do I need to be able to jump already, to sign up for the program?
No, we can get you started! However, you should be able to ride comfortably and consistently on flow trails (with rollers and table tops) at speed, and be able to pump through berms and rollers, as a prerequisite to get the most out of this program. - What if I can jump already, will this program be too easy?
No, we can make sure you progress as much as possible! Given we run these programs on pumps tracks and dirt jumps, there’s plenty of options within the same area for the coach to be able to tailor the terrain features and skills that best suit each individual in the lesson.
